How To Buy Silver Coins 90 Percent Junk

This How To Buy Silver Coins Page Focuses On 90% Junk Coins.

These are pre-1965 U.S. silver dimes, quarters, half-dollars and Dollar coins, that are composed of 90% silver.

They may seem like a great option, but keeping the end in mind, here’s the problem…

During a currency crisis, you will hear the value of silver throughout the day. With 90% face value coins, you and the buyer have to do the math, to compute the amount of silver in the coin times the spot price.

Dealers will know the value, but they will be so busy, they may not want to take to time to verify each coin and compute the value of the bag.

And if you try to use them to make purchases at a store for food or gas, the store clerk won’t know the value of a silver quarter, dime, etc.

Recommendation:

Be sure to check any coin collections you might have to see if you have any.

And if you can get a great deal on them at an estate sale, then they are worth it.

Otherwise, I wouldn’t buy them myself.
